Entering the Museum

This photograph shows the main doors of the Museum which lead into the front porch.

Although the outside of the Museum is elaborately decorated, there are some details missing. It was intended that all the windows would be surrounded by carvings of plants and animals, but only a few were completed as the construction budget began to run out.

The carving around the door was also left incomplete. While the outer arches are intricately carved, only half of the inner archway has been started. The stonemasons were dismissed before they could complete their work.
